Budding Botanist: plant parts and life cycles
What role do seeds, roots, stem, leaves and flowers play in the life cycle of a plant? How do these features of a plant help them grow?
In this program your students will:
wonder at plants growing in different environments, what do they need to survive?
discover the structure of living plants in the Gardens, discuss their roots, stem, leaves, flowers and fruit.
enjoy a game based on the life cycle of a plant.
explore a variety of fruit, flowers, leaves and seeds under magnifying glasses.
You’ll also learn about the Australian National Botanic Gardens’ role in conserving threatened plant species.
Please note our required 1 teacher : 16 students ratio. If your booking has more than 16 students, it will be split on arrival and there must be a teacher with duty of care with each group of students.
