Antarctica After Hours
CHILL OUT WITH VR AND TEAM CHALLENGES!
Experience Antarctica like never before with exclusive after-hours access to the exhibition, an immersive virtual reality film that transports students to the frozen continent, and a series of fun, team-based expedition challenges.
Inspired by the work of Antarctic scientists and expeditioners, teams will compete to navigate blizzards, harness wind power, respond to emergencies and establish a research station.
ADVENTURE TO THE EXTREME
Along the way, they’ll discover the teamwork, resilience and problem-solving needed to live and work in one of Earth’s most extreme environments.
A fun and memorable evening experience that combines immersive technology, hands-on challenges and plenty of adventure.
VR HEADSETS
The Antarctica Experience VR is suitable for all audiences, however the virtual reality headset is recommended for users 8 years and older. Specific guidance is provided in the health and safety notice below for young users aged 8 to 13 years. Children under the age of 8 are still welcome to attend a session, but teacher discretion is advised for wearing VR headsets. Not recommended for people with certain medical conditions. Glasses can be worn under the headset, but the focus cannot be adjusted.
During the VR experience, teachers must not wear a headset in order to maintain duty of care. A 2D version of the film will be available on the theatre screen.
