Antarctica: Life on the Ice (Primary)

In this Museum educator-led experience, students journey into Antarctica to uncover stories of exploration, science and international cooperation.

Surrounded by powerful objects and immersive environments, they’ll uncover what it takes to live and work on the coldest, driest and windiest continent on Earth – and why Antarctica matters to us all.

Step into an icy world and discover how living things survive and adapt in Antarctica through hands-on exploration and play-based inquiry.

A highly interactive program where students explore Antarctica through role-play, teamwork and sensory investigation. Students take on different perspectives, as scientists or explorers, as they navigate the exhibition, solve practical challenges and investigate how people, animals and environments respond to extreme conditions.
